Manual Mode

Manual Mode simply states you must perform all the settings in the camera to create a good exposure and image.  You set the following:
  • ISO (Sensitivity if the photographic imaging device).
  • Shutter Speed for the subject photographed.
  • Aperture opening for light and DOF (Depth of Field)
  • Composition of the subject photographed.
Manual Mode requires you to have a though understanding of all elements of the image exposure to create an artistic picture.
With Manual Mode you can use the cameras' built in metering system and make necessary adjustments to ISO, Aperture. and Shutter Speed.
You can use an external, hand held, light meter and input the ISO,Aperture settings, and Shutter Speed to calculate the correct exposure.

You can make multiple spot meter readings and average the total for a correct exposure.

In Semi-Auto Mode you can still make a minimum of 2 spot meter readings and allow the camera to set the remaining exposure settings.
